When a virus is spreading this fast the Prediction of the people and that of health experts is that there is a possibility of the virus hitting Kenya that is why the health ministry was very quick to screen all the 239 passengers on-board after a Chinese plane landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), the passengers were later advised to quarantine themselves for a 14-day period.

The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta also set up a 21- member task force and ordered the completion of an isolation center at Mbagathi hospital in Nairobi in a period of seven days. This 120- bed Isolation at Mbagathi is in addition to two other temporary isolation rooms that have been identified at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and another one set up at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)

Health CS,  Mutahi Kagwe, on Friday 6th announced that all international meetings, conferences and events had been banned in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19. This ban will ensure that nobody jets in the country infected leading to a possible attack.

The health ministry is also sending SMSs to Kenyan's Safaricom lines. The short messages aim at creating awareness about Corona Virus and educating the public on what to do. This move will equip the public with the necessary knowledge in case of an attack and it will also help prevent the possibility of an attack.
